My name is Catalina Bilandzija, I am a senior at UC San Diego majoring in Media Industries in Communications and double minoring in Global Health and Food Studies (a minor I created myself due to having a passion for food systems and nutrition but not having the option to study it at UCSD as they do not have a nutrition or food systems major/minor).  My professional interests lay at the intersection of communication and marketing methods, sustainable food systems, nutrition and health, and my experience through my jobs, fellowships, education and extracurriculars reflect these passions. I believe in creating a sustainable future for the planet and for human health-but that can only be done through education starting from a young age and powerful community involvement.
